Katrin Orav

I am a family law specialist with long-term experience and the head of the Family Law Commission of the Estonian Bar Association. In 2020, I was awarded the honorary title of "Diamond of the Bar Association".

Family law has been close to my heart for the last 10 years. During this time, I have advised both partners and spouses in their property relations, including matters of common ownership, entering into a marital property contracts, estate planning, and division of joint property. I have been emotionally supportive of those whose marriage or relationship has ended and have helped parents reach agreements on matters relating to the organization of children's lives, including visiting rights and maintenance, both in court and out of court. I have represented clients in, among other things, litigation on division of joint and common property, in matters of custody and access to children, and in matters of guardianship, maintenance and succession. I have long-term training experience.

I have established a law firm with the aim of providing clients with support and solutions in one of the most personal and important areas of law.

Merlin Matson

I have obtained a Bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree.

During my undergraduate studies, I was most interested in family and inheritance law. During my traineeship with Katrin, I realised that my interest in family law was not limited to the theoretical knowledge I had acquired at university. As one of the more delicate areas of the law, family law allows me to combine legal knowledge with social skills in order to provide the necessary support to my clients and achieve the desired results. 

 As of September 2022, I will be assisting Katrin in various matters concerning the property of life partners and spouses and the living arrangements of children.
